My approach is founded in humanistic therapy where the relationship between client and therapist is the primary therapeutic tool. I rely on genuineness and collaboration to understand your experience and world view and to create a safe space for you to feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful change. You are the expert of your own life, my goal as a therapist is to walk along side you as you reconnect with your most authentic empowered self.
I specialize in supporting teens, young adults and adults who are experiencing emotional dysregulation, trauma, interpersonal conflict, self-harming behaviour, suicidal thoughts, substance use, ADHD and struggles with self-image and sense of self.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from various therapeutic modalities and combine approaches in order to create an individualized and holistic approach. I combine the theory and practice to meet the unique needs of each client. I most often draw from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
All of the tools and skills that I share with the individuals I work with, are practices that I do regularly in my own life. I can’t wait to share these strategies and tools with you!
I’m Laura, a Registered Social Worker dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Trent University and a Master of Social Work with a specialization in Health and Mental Health from the University of Toronto. My areas of interest include anxiety and mood concerns, emotion dysregulation, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), parenting, and major life transitions. My work incorporates trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally sensitive approaches.
My career began at the Child Development Institute’s Camp Towhee Program, where I discovered a passion for supporting young people facing mental health challenges. This passion led me to South Korea, where I worked in both elementary and high schools. Since then, I have gained experience in hospital and government agency settings.
In our work together, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space marked by patience and gentle curiosity. I believe that even in the toughest circumstances, meaningful change is possible. I'm here to support you every step of the way, combining clinical expertise with warmth to help you achieve your goals.
My name is Jayden and I am a Registered Social Worker with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Worker workers. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Waterloo and have obtained my clinical practice experience through a combination of both hospital and community-based social work settings.
I am passionate about emotional wellness and do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach.
Before even entering the therapy space, I believe we each already possess an inner “magic” or “wisdom” that either remains dormant or that we become disconnected from amongst the pressures and demands of life, the stressors and traumas we may experience, and the unpredictable hardships we are forced to grow through.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and curious. I consistently aim to provide a safe and comfortable space to allow for collaborative exploration and deepened self-reflection. Through the use of various evidence-based therapeutic practices, together, we will seek to expand your emotional wellness toolbox. I can’t wait to meet you!
My name is Rachel and I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
I hold a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto and a Bachelors of Social Work from the Toronto Metropolitan University. I work with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families, and I specialize in areas of trauma, relational issues, domestic violence, and emotion regulation.
My work is rooted in empathy and collaboration, as I believe that healing happens in compassionate environments where we are able to feel seen and safe. Using a non-judgmental and strength-based lens, I hope to help you navigate your path of healing and embrace your inner resilience.
Using a variety of evidence-based practices and expressive arts, I will walk alongside you on your journey to help you process and move through life’s challenges in order to reach your goals.
I look forward to meeting you!
